Young people face numerous challenges in conflicts and natural disasters. The support of families, schools and communities diminishes. The risk of sexual violence increases, and access to basic sexual and reproductive health services is often lost. In the midst of these difficulties, young people show tremendous resilience and contribute in various ways to create positive change, but as crucial as their experiences are, most of them are never shared.

Youth Zones, a joint video production from UNFPA and the Women’s Commission for Refugee Women and Children, offers the opportunity to hear from four remarkable young women and men from Liberia, Colombia, Lebanon and New Orleans about the courageous steps they have taken to rebuild their lives, communities and countries. Visit youthzones.org to share your ideas, get inspired and unite for action.
